Run Java applications on your Windows-based PC

Java Runtime Environment is an utility which includes all the required modules (Java virtual machine, runtime class libraries and Java application launcher) in order to execute Java programs.

Basically, this software permits you to run applications that are written in the Java programming language.

This type of applications, also known as "applets" allow you to engage in all sorts of activities: chat with users from all over the world, play Internet games, view images in 3D, watch movie trailers etc.

The download and install procedures do not take long. To configure this program, you will need to access the Java Control Panel.

To enter the Control Panel, in Windows click on the Start Menu and then type into the search field Java. Next, just press on the icon.

In this section you will be able to make various Network Settings, set the folder for the Temporary Internet Files, choose how the program to be updated etc.

Beside that, in the Control Panel you are also provided numerous Advanced settings.

This latest Java technology works with the most popular web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer etc.
