Excellent free partition management utility
Aomei Partition Assistant Home Edition is a free application that you can use to manage disk partitions on your Windows based system.
Installing and downloading the program doesn't take long as the size of the installer has under 3MB. Surprisingly, for such a small utility it has a very nice interface.
Using the software is certainly not difficult as all the available functions are extremely easy to be accessed. Basically, they are displayed at the top and also in the left side of the user interface.
After you have picked a partition from the main window and you navigate to the Wizards section, in this area can be accomplished several things: extend partition, disk copy and partition copy.
Entering the Extend Partition Wizard, basically you get the opportunity to enlarge various partitions from your hard drive.
In the next wizard, disk copy, you can choose copy disk quickly or sector by sector. If you go with the first option, the utility will clone the used space of the disk to another one.
However, in case you pick sector by sector copy, you will find yourself in the position to clone all the partitions of the selected drive to a destination disk.
The last function in this field, Partition Copy Wizard, as you can probably guess, can be used to copy the partitions of your hard drive.
Now, having a look at the Partition Operations category, here you are provided the following utilities: Resize/Move, Copy, Create, Delete, Format, Check and Wipe Partitions.
In Disk Operations, the software allows to perform several procedures on your hard disk. Clicking on Wipe, you are able to erase all the stored content.
Here you may also decide to delete all the available drives, run a surface test operation etc.
The area located near the top of the interface, provides quick and easy access to the main features of the application.
Definitely that all of the program's functions are extremely useful. But, you need to be very careful when using them as they can bring serious damages to your computer.
At the end of this review i have to say that i like a lot Aomei Partition Assistant. It's easy to be used, it offers numerous useful features and lets not forget that this is a free software.
