Excellent decompression utility

jZip is a software for managing compressed files.

The program downloads and installs very fast so certainly that there is no need to worry about this.

When you start jZip a window appears in which you will be able to associate the program with various type of archive files.

The main interface looks nice and is very easy to use.

Now lets explore the main functions of the software.

To create an archive all that you have to do is to press the New Archive button. A window will appear in which you will have to write the name of the archive.

After you click on the Save button another window appears in which you are able to add various files to the archive. When you have finished selecting the files just click on Add.

I have to say that the program created the archive very fast.

To open an archive that is stored on your hard drive click on Open Archive. Navigate to the folder where you have this type of files and then open one.

To use the content in the archive press on the Extract button.

What i like a lot is that after an archive has been opened you can very easily add to it various files. The only thing that you have to do is to press on Add.

To change the way in which are displayed the files into the main window click the Style button.

Now lets have a look at the other fields that the software provides.

In Actions you can very easily access the primary functions of the program. Beside the usual add or extract files here you are also provided Encrypt, Split and Merge and Check archive utilities.

Going to View, you can select the size of the toolbar, enable status bar etc. In this category you also have Configuration.

Here you can set the program to automatically check for updates, set the location of the temporary folder, make various file associations and customize the look of the software.

jZip is an excellent application. It has an intuitive interface, you can create archives extremely easy and fast and the application supports various type of archive files.
