Calendar for Windows that integrates with Microsoft Word & Excel
WinCalendar just as the name says is a calendar for Windows. However what is special about this program is that it can integrate with Microsoft Word and Excel.
After the application is installed and you start it, in the system tray an icon is displayed and on the desktop appears a nice looking calendar.
The calendar itself is nicely organized. In the left side you have the current year and month and at right you have displayed the days of the week.
Now lets have a look at the general options. Here you can select the calendar size and layout, mark various holidays for the country where you currently live, mark religious holidays, set the date format and the screen position of the calendar etc.
In the program's Windows Options you can make WinCalendar to be always on top and to show the application in system tray.
You also have displayed various shortcuts in order to launch the program a lot more faster.
Just as i mentioned in the beginning of this review WinCalendar integrates with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Taking a look at the Excel Options you can set the default calendar date value, choose a double click control to select and insert a date, show WinCalendar commands in the Excel Tools Menu etc.
Switching to Word Options, just like in Excel, you can establish the default calendar date value and select a double click control to select and insert a date.
WinCalendar is a good application. Is very easy to use, can be configured very fast and it integrates with Microsoft's Office tools. Also the graphics of the calendar for the Windows desktop look very nice.
