Convert and play YouTube videos

Desktop YouTube Downloader & Converter is an application with which you are able to download various YouTube videos and then convert them into various video and audio formats.

After the install process has been completed, a window will appear in which you will be given the options to launch the application and to associate it with FLV video files. 

The main interface of the program looks nice. But as we all know the users that are downloading this type of softwares are interested how easy is to download various videos from YouTube.

In the Downloader category just paste the URL into the Download Link field.

The moment you will press the Go button, another window will appear in which you will be able to download and also to select the quality of the video.

Going to the Converter field, here you are able to convert YouTube videos into various formats such as: MPEG Video, WMV, WAVE, MP3, iPod video and 3GP.

After you have selected your video, decide in which file format you want to convert and set the location just click on the Convert button.

In Player you can either open and play various FLV files that are stored on your hard drive or you can press the Open YouTube Link button and then paste the URL for the YouTube video. By pressing OK you will be able to run the video directly into the program.

In the general options there are not to many settings available. You can only "Make Desktop YouTube default player for FLV Video Files".

The Updates section is very useful in case you want to check out if there are any updates available for the program. 

Desktop YouTube Downloader & Converter is definitely a very good application. The main interface looks nice and the utility can be successfully used to download YouTube videos and then convert them to various file formats.
