Great countdown and stopwatch application
TimeLeft is an application that offers to the user various time-telling devices. The moment you have finished to install the program in the system tray an icon will be displayed and on the screen of your monitor appears a Quick Task window.
By clicking on a task, the main window of the program appears in which you have displayed the primary functions of the application. Basically you have Reminder, Countdown, Clock, Stopwatch, Timer and Sticker.
Beside that you also have various add-ons such as Auction Watch and Web Export. Each of the application functions can be edited.
Clicking on Reminder, you can choose to Add, Edit, Copy or Delete this particular function.
You can set this to run once, minutely, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly etc. You may enable sounds and enter a message. On the Reminder settings window you also have Countdown.
You can choose to enable this by clicking on Show countdown. You also have the chance to pick a predefined or a custom layout.
Beside that, to the Countdown window can be applied a border, a transparent background etc. I have to say that the graphics in the window look nice.
I picked the predefined layout and by choosing this in the small window there are displayed the year, month, day, hour, min and sec.
Now taking a look at Countdown, the same as with the first function, you can Add, Edit, Copy and Delete it. You may set this to count from the current time to a specific day or period in the year.
There is a predefined layout or you can edit one. In the Countdown settings window you also have advanced settings. Here you get the chance to set this function to run once, minutely, hourly etc. You can also enable sounds and actions.
The Clock utility of this program i must say that is pretty cool. You can specify the time zone, choose a layout and time format, pick a skin and various effects.
In Stopwatch the program can be set to start counting from a specific time. Also here can be picked a layout and a skin and display various buttons (start/pause, reset) etc.
Clicking on the Timer function here you have various settings. You can make the Timer to start counting from hours, minutes and even seconds.
Also you can decide the Timer what to do when the zero value has been reached. You may select to stop, restart timer and run as stopwatch. In Timer you can enable sounds, choose from the available layouts and skins etc.
The next field is Sticker. Basically this is a sort of a notepad. In the text field you may write various messages which will be displayed on the desktop after you press the apply and OK buttons. If you want to customize this you can pick the size and color of the font.
Now lets check out the available add-ons. The application includes Auction watch and Web export. The one that really caught my attention is Auction watch.
In this you can paste an auction link in the Auction URL field and set the time when this comes to an end. In the Auction watch category there is also a Countdown timer.
Checking out the Windows tray icon here you can access extremely easy and fast all of your timers, countdowns, clocks etc. Beside that you can Quick Add various functions of the program.
In the general Options, the application can be set to start the moment when Windows is launched, enable sounds, make a couple of settings to time synchronization and auction watch etc.
TimeLeft is without a doubt and excellent time utility. It has some very cool features and the program can be customized in various ways.
The main problem is that there are much to many settings available. A beginner user certainly that in the beginning will be overwhelmed by the amount of settings and options.
