Excellent program for viewing AutoCAD documents

Free DWG Viewer is a software that allows you to manage AutoCAD drawings.

To open with this program DWG, DWF, and DXF drawings, on the interface press the Open File button.

The moment you have opened an AutoCAD file, it will be displayed into the main window.

At the bottom of the interface you are provided various controls which can be used to change the default background color, show the layers of the drawing etc.

Beside that, in this section you are also offered rotate, fit and various zoom functions.

What i like is that, when clicking on the Magnifier button, a window appears and it can be used to magnify various sections of the drawing. What i want to mention is that the size of the magnifier is adjustable.

In the right side of the interface, there is an arrow and by clicking on it, a box is displayed in which you will be able to access all the available sections of the AutoCAD file.

A great aspect is that, if you want to load up a drawing, you can easily drag the file into the main window.

However, the drawings that include complex graphics slow down a bit Free DWG Viewer.

By clicking right on the document that has been loaded, you are provided quick access to various functions of this application.

Near the top of the interface, you may choose to use the Next and Previous functions in order to navigate through all the opened files.

Beside that, in this field you may also decide to print an AutoCAD drawing.

In the same section, the software allows to save various documents into the CSF and JPG file formats.

Now, lets have a look at the menu located right at the top of the main interface.

An excellent aspect about the application is that, when accessing File, you can select to open a new drawing into a separate window.

In Options may be set the formats which to be handled by the software, make various CAD Display Settings and enable the following: Animate View Changes, Show Line Weights, Smooth Edges.

If you encounter difficulties in using this utility, there is available an extensive Help section.

In my opinion, Free DWG Viewer is a very good program. It has an attractive interface and you can easily manage AutoCAD drawings.

Good:

-easy to use
-the application can handle several file formats
-excellent controls
-Magnifier feature
-you can load up drawings by using drag and drop
-the possibility to save AutoCAD documents into the CSF and JPG file formats

Bad:

-when opening drawings which include complex graphics, the program is slowed down
