Excellent CD/DVD burning utility

CDBurnerXP is a free CD/DVD burning application for Windows.

The moment you have finished to install the program and you launch it, a window is displayed on your screen in which you get the chance to choose from various burning tasks: Data disc, Video DVD, Audio disc, Burn ISO image, Copy or grab disc and Erase disc.

What i like is that the interface is simple and it provides quick and easy access to all sorts of useful CD/DVD utilities.

Lets start with the first task, which is Data disc. When entering this burning function, in front of you appears a new window. Accessing all the available controls is easy as they are excellent organized.

In the first half of the main window you are in the position to search for the content which you would like to be added for the CD or DVD burning procedure.

To start adding files on your disc compilation, all that is required to be done is basically to drag and drop the content in the second half of the window.

Now that you have decided on your files, on the interface just click the Burn button. In this section, before launching the burning operation, you can select to establish the number of copies which to be made.

In case you have introduced in your drive a rewritable disc, you may decide to use the Erase command in order to clear out the data from your CD or DVD.

What i want to mention is that, if you don't want to add files by using drag and drop, at any time you can utilize the Add button, which can be seen in the second half of the interface.

At the top of the window you have listed all sorts of useful controls.

If you have finished with the project and you want to return to the burning tasks area, all that you need to do is to click on "Close the active complication", which is represented by an red X button.

Accessing Video DVD, as you can probably guess, you get the chance to create video discs that can be used with a DVD player.

After you have added the VIDEO_TS folder, you may select the number of copies and enable several burn options such as: Double Layer compatible mode, Pad DVD size to 1GB, Eject disc after burning etc.

By entering the next burning function, Audio disc, basically you are provided the same interface and functions which could be seen in Data disc. The only difference is that in this section you have the opportunity to make Audio CD's.

The last three burning utilities, Burn ISO image, Copy or grab disc and Erase disc are very useful and simple to be utilized.

To conclude this review, i must say that CDBurnerXP is a great program. It offers a good looking and easy to use interface, some excellent CD/DVD burning functions and lets not forget that this is a free software.
